Volunteer Tax Clinic
Beginning in 1969, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (ICAO) started offering free tax clinics run by Chartered Accountants throughout the province. These clinics are made available to low-income households free of charge. The ICAO started in 1969 in Toronto and served 500 people, but now serves over 11,000 people province-wide.Read More Now >
The Annette Silva Women with Drive Golf Tournament in benefit of Credit Valley Hospital Foundation
S+C Partners LLP Chartered Accountants decided to discontinue hosting its own annual golf tournament in favour of supporting the Credit Valley Hospital Foundation by signing on as the Title Sponsor of their annual Women with Drive golf tournament. In honour of the memory of a very special member of the S+C team, the tournament has been renamed: The Annette Silva Women with Drive golf tournament.
“We are very pleased to be involved with this event and to be working in conjunction with the Foundation” reports Kalin McDonald, Client Service Partner and Treasurer of the Credit Valley Hospital Foundation. “It was difficult to make the decision to discontinue our event after having held it for 15 consecutive years and after having raised more than $449,000 for Credit Valley. We are appreciative of all of the efforts of our team members, our clients, our business partners and friends of the firm, their past attendance and tremendous support.”Read More Now >
Each June the firm sends out volunteer teams into the Mississauga community to meet classrooms of grade 8 students. The firm delivered the “Economics for Success” program to these students. The program takes students through household budgeting exercises and reinforces the importance of staying in school and the positive impact of post-secondary education on income.

The firm has been involved with the Credit Valley Hospital for many years. The hospital’s close proximity to our office and the fact that it services our team members and their families has led to a mutually beneficial relationship.Read More Now >
The firm met the founding directors of the The Healing Cycle Foundation in the Fall of 2006 at a Roots of the Community Luncheon hosted by the Credit Valley Hospital. When we learned of their ambitious pledge of $1,000,000 to the Credit Valley Hospital for palliative care we knew that we have to spend more time with this dynamic group of people.Read More Now >
Credit Valley Hospital Charity Golf Tournament
In the winter of 1997 on the eve of the firm’s 10th anniversary, John Sidler decided that the firm should host an annual golf tournament in benefit of the Credit Valley Hospital. The decision to support the hospital was an easy one. Many of our team members lived nearby and were served by the dedicated and professional staff at the hospital. The purpose of our tournament was to foster a sense of team spirit and community involvement within our firm by raising funds for the Credit Valley Hospital in a manner that is fun for staff, clients and business colleagues.
