Attention manufacturers!

October 23rd. 2008
Thanks to funding provided by the Government of Ontario, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) has created the SMART Program to help small and medium-sized manufacturers in Ontario improve their productivity so they can compete more effectively in the global economy. SMART Funding: CME is looking for companies ready to start productivity-improving projects such as lean design and lean manufacturing, quality improvement, energy efficiency, IT best practices, and environmental impact reduction. They will support the best projects proposed to them, with 50% funding up to $50,000, paid directly to manufacturers. SMART Manufacturing Sessions: Register for one of the halfday SMART Manufacturing Sessions going on across Ontario and you?ll get information you can take back and put into practice the next day ? and learn how you can use the SMART Program to help put bigger ideas into action. SMART Diagnostics and SMART Assessments: CME has resources to help you look at your operations and find areas where improvement could be possible. Once you?ve found an area to improve, experts are available to help you assess what the impact could be to your bottom line and then put together a plan to make those benefits real.
